‘Do the Right Thing’ will see a panel of guest speakers - representing creative project from across Australia - come together to generate dialogue about how music and culture can be important instruments for social change and the pursuit of Human Rights for all. Taking place in the BMW Edge amphitheatre Do the Right Thing will include; an open panel discussion, where the audience will be encouraged to ask questions and share their own experiences on the topic of 'the power of music and culture for social change'; music and dance performances and workshops, and the 'Fair Fashion Show', presented by Moral Fairground.

Guest speakers and Performers include: Young Somalian Australian women Lucky and Rumla representing the Go-Go Performance project from Adelaide, Nic and Dawn, Co-Directors of the Key Change project, whose purpose is "to create positive social change through music", Claudia Escobar and Jorge Leiva from the 'Mi Amigo International' (My International Friend) project, Yarrie a young rapper and dancer representing the Sydney based Sierra Leone Performance group, and Big Dubs - Melbourne based Sudanese Australian MC and young community leader.

A team of local artists will help your child paint a one-off original, delicate paper umbrella sourced from fair trade artisans in Laos.

Kids will be mentored through the process of making a Christmas card with fair trade mulberry paper and card using rubber stamping and other creative techniques.

Try out how to spin silk cocoons and weaving at the loom

Creator of successful Lao Fair Trade silk farm and international guest Speaer Kommaly Chanthavong will hold silk spinning and weaving demostrations and a talk on fair trade silk production.

Training session - 'How to be an everyday activist - lessons and stories from everyday people' An opportunity to be part of a conversation that explores how you can be an advocate for change when you shop. We hear the words 'ethical consumerism' and 'fair trade' all the time - how can they be a part of your life? Leave inspired and challenged to be an advocate in your everyday life - with your very own action plan!

Hand Screen-printing T-shirts: Designer looks on a budget. Demonstration of screen-printing by Ink and Spindle a unique design by hand fairtrade t-shirts using water-based solvent free inks.
